The Inspiration Behind Ethereal Hand Esthetics

Hi, I’m Elizabeth—the heart and hands behind Ethereal Hand Esthetics.

I’ve been in the beauty industry for over 10 years and have proudly owned Ethereal Hand Esthetics for the past three years. While many people know me today for my holistic facials and facial massage, what most don’t realize is that facials have always been at the heart of my career. My journey began with makeup and evolved into a nine-year career as a lash artist, where I specialized in enhancing natural beauty. Along the way, I continued performing facials while pursuing every opportunity to expand my knowledge. Every chapter of my career has simply helped me become the esthetician I am today.

Before focusing exclusively on holistic esthetics, I specialized in body sculpting and became certified in eight different technologies. Although I no longer perform these treatments, the education I received gave me an extensive understanding of facial anatomy, muscles, connective tissue, and how the body responds to touch. Rather than leaving that knowledge behind, I brought it into the treatment room, developing my own facial massage techniques that soften facial tension, encourage natural lift, and enhance the skin using my hands instead of machines.

One thing many people don’t know about me is that I used to be incredibly self-conscious about my small hands. Ironically, they’ve become the very thing I’m known for. Over the years, I realized my hands could do so much more than perform a facial—they could comfort, restore, and create genuine human connection. Today, they are my greatest tool, and I truly believe intentional touch has the power to heal in ways that extend far beyond the skin.

My holistic philosophy deepened during the three years I spent working at a holistic health center, where I gained a greater appreciation for the connection between our skin, overall health, and nervous system. That experience continues to shape every treatment I provide, allowing me to care for the whole person, not just their skin.

When I’m not in the treatment room, you’ll usually find me tending to my ever-growing collection of plants, blending herbal teas, or wandering through local estate sales in search of one-of-a-kind treasures. Many of the vintage pieces throughout my treatment room have been thoughtfully collected from estate sales, creating the cozy, lived-in atmosphere that makes Ethereal Hand Esthetics feel less like a spa and more like a peaceful sanctuary.
